Quebec's first beauty pageant launches October 2009! This exciting competition provides a unique platform for young, aspiring models to showcase their talents, opinions and beauty to her community. What begins as an online network for contestants to submit bios and photographs then launches into a series of five exciting elimination rounds taking place throughout Quebec.

 

LEO AWARDS (Vancouver, May 8-9, 2009)

 

The LEO AWARDS were established in 1998 to celebrate excellence in British Columbia film and television. The LEO AWARDS 2009 Celebration and Gala Awards ceremonies take place May 8th and 9th, 2009 at the Westin Bayshore. The LEO AWARDS are a project of the Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences Foundation of BC, and produced by Troiko Productions Inc. and Events One.

 

YouthCO Aids Society Presents: Acquired Taste - A Carnival of the Senses (Vancouver, July 9th, 2009)


The intimate event will treat 200 guests to a night of awe-inspiring performances and a cast of crazy characters as YouthCo celebrates its 15th anniversary. Featured performers include Lucky, our death defying silk aerialist, Yuki the juggler, a musical performance by Chloe Morgan, burlesque dancers Miss Fit Lashes London and sexy belly dance troupe, Boudoir Beledi.


Seeing Eye to Eye: Music, Theatre & Art Collide (Vancouver, January 14, 2009)


SEEING EYE TO EYE is a charity event for the organization Operation Eyesight. The event takes place January 14 at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown.


Music, art and theatre collide for one night. The Adam Woodall Band, Friends With Liam, Tessa Amy, The Racoons, and Fully Loaded perform inside this gallery event featuring a short theatre performance.

Toronto Alternative Arts & Fashion Week is a multi-arts festival with a mandate of showcasing artistic disciplines rooted in fashion, and their exploration of the human body in today's time. The festival aims to emphasize this mandate through the artistic disciplines of fashion design, photography, installation, video, performance, music and dance, in an effort to push forward and redefine our perception of the fashion phenomenon.


Beauty & Health Expo 2009 - (Vancouver & Toronto)


The Beauty & Health Expo will take place May 1st-3rd 2009 at Canada Place  and September 18th- 20th 2009 in Toronto at the Direct Energy Centre. The three-day event in both locations will encompass booths from various health and beauty businesses showcasing their products and services, a speakers corner with live presentations and demonstrations of various beauty/health treatments and the opportunity to sell products/services to attendees.
